About us...
Intelligent Dodo, or “i-dodo” was founded with the mission to create an eco-friendly and environmentally responsible footwear, apparel and accessories company. Having been in the footwear industry for over twenty-five years, I saw first-hand how profits were prioritized over the well-being of the planet. We will source our recycled and sustainable materials responsibly and design silhouettes that will drive fashion-conscious consumers.
The meaning of the i-dodo brand is that of innovation, intelligence, and intellect. i-dodo represents a paradox of the traditional definition of the word dodo, which is that of being aloof, flighty or detached. The i-dodo brand is a reminder that if we do not make changes to how we treat the earth immediately, we will eventually destroy her.
The dodo bird is frequently cited as one of the most well-known examples of human-induced extinction and it also serves as a warning with respect to human technological “progress”. Our goal at i-dodo is to reduce the carbon footprint by at least 25%; (by weight) compared to how current synthetic footwear is being manufactured.

Our Materials
Inspired by nature, we use sustainable plant-based materials in the majority our shoe constructs. This allows us to leave a 60% less carbon footprint than materials used in typical synthetic shoes.
1. Vegan Leather
Sustainable plant-base vegan-leather made from cactus. Will also use recycled “scrap” leather materials.

Our durable outsole are made with green EVA from sugarcane and offer a negative carbon emissions balance. Will also employ recycled tires for outsoles.
4. Vegan Insole
Our single memory foam insole is mad with recyclable cork & organic mamona oil
5. Eucalyptus
Woven Laces Our lining, laces, threads and our logo labels are made from aa fusion of bamboo and recycled plastic bottles

OUR MANUFACTURING
i-dodo is partnering with a leading purpose-led manufacturing group in China that specializes in Environmentally Preferred Materials (EPMs). They focus their construction on Bio-based/Bio-Infused EVA, Recycled Rubber, Recycled Plastics, Recycled Nylon, Plant Based Yarns, and Repurposed Scrap Materials. i-dodo is dedicated to creating a circular solution for footwear.
Reforestation Partnership
At i-dodo we pride ourselves on creating an environment that will grow and sustain life. We have partnered with the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to plant one tree for every pair of i-dodo shoes sold.
The i-dodo Reforestation Project plants trees in public lands throughout the United States and is only made possible with your help. Thank you!!!
